In Cambodia we created a bond with all the children so strong that when we left we could feel our hearts breaking. But knowing that we improved their lives was the most rewarding experience I could ask for. So leaving will definitely be the most difficult for me. My biggest fear is not being able to fully communicate with the children. Communication is important because on this trip we are going to a different place in the world with a different culture and rules, in order to understand these things we have to be able to communicate. I hope to have a better understanding and appreciation for what I have. After Cambodia even the smallest things I used on a daily basis now seemed like a luxury. Having running water and a toilet are things I have had all my life, and seeing people who do not have either was eye opening. Everyone is so kind and willing to accept you with love even though they have nothing. After this trip I want to change for the better. Well obviously, you might say, but in all aspects, as a person, in heart, and mind as well.
